Biography
Danya Alhafidh is an attorney at Doyle Quane, where she focuses on Family Law. She is dedicated to providing clients with comprehensive and compassionate legal guidance as they navigate complex legal matters.
Born in Baghdad, Iraq, Danya immigrated to the United States with her family as a child in search of opportunity and a better future. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Middle Eastern and North African Studies from UCLA and her Juris Doctorate from John F. Kennedy University College of Law.
Danya’s journey in family law began in 2012 when she started her career as a paralegal. With over a decade of experience, she worked closely with families navigating difficult legal situations, gaining a deep understanding of the challenges they face. Her passion for advocacy and firsthand experience assisting clients inspired her to attend law school, allowing her to transition from paralegal to attorney and provide even greater support to families in need.
Having personally experienced the complexities of transition and new beginnings, Danya understands the importance of stability, guidance, and compassion during times of uncertainty. This perspective drives her commitment to helping families through some of life’s most challenging moments.
Danya is an active member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association (CCCBA), Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA), and California Lawyers Association (CLA). She is also dedicated to pro bono work, regularly volunteering with the Alameda County Day of Court Program, where she provides self-help services to self-represented litigants, and volunteers with the Justice For All Center in Contra Costa County helping victim of domestic violence obtain the protections afforded to them by our legal system.
She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Family Law, an honor awarded to only the top 2.5% of attorneys in California.
Outside of work, Danya enjoys exploring the East Bay’s scenic hiking trails, trying new restaurants in Danville and Walnut Creek, and spending time with family and friends. She is also an avid reader and enjoys learning about different cultures and histories—a passion that continues to shape her perspective both personally and professionally.
